Triana is now two! Happy birthday!

It's quite appropriate that one of her favorite words is 'Dos'. She appreciates now the difference between a single and multiple items and she is in fact constantly asking for two of her favorite things. Dos chupetes, dos galletas, dos calcetines. Her current obsession with having two chupetes at once is quite funny. Except when we can't give her a second one, and we have to use our best tricks to make her forget about it. Luckily 2 year olds are not that hard to distract and we have also learned to have an emergency chupete around. I have realized that most of the time I have one with me, no matter where I am, no matter whether Triana is with me or not.

I am doubful she realizes it's her birthday though. She might have noticed there were some treats at day care she (I) had brought to share with her little friends. The other difference with a normal day is that because mamá was working a long shift today she stayed awake until 9pm so she could at least see mamá for a moment before going to bed. It is a big effort for her and she is cranky that late but everything is forgotten when mamá arrives. She gets so excited and happy. They both do, so that makes up for everything.

¡Feliz cumpleaños Triana!

I'm so glad to get updated photos of our little Triana. I hope to see you all soon. When is the next trip planned, or is it our turn?
